We don't have any pictures of our hike back to our
car. Needless to say we were pretty dejected by the prospect of climbing
back up that hill we just descended. Fortunately, just before the
steepest part of the climb, we found a fork that allowed us to connect with a
road. We asked some bicyclists if the road took us back to the entrance
of the park. We were in luck -- we were headed the right direction.
At this point, we had no idea where we were on the map.
We finally found our way back to the ranger's station,
and from there to our car. Just before we got to our car, we saw this
grasshopper on the road. We also saw another rabbit.
We were exhausted after our hike which took twice
as long as our expected 1.5 hours.
