The race starts downhill, which gives you a great view of the crowds of people in front of
you at the start. Fortunately, things moved along very easily and there was only a 3 minute
differential between the official race start time and the point where we crossed the starting
line. Our times were recorded through a racing chip that was attached to our shoe laces.
