After Fatehpur Sikri, we went on to the big tourist draw of Agra -- the Taj Mahal.
Indians tend to pay less money to visit these sights than foreigners, but I found the disparity at the Taj Mahal to
be more than anywhere else. The difference was 10 rupees versus 750 rupees.
After passing through a security gate with a metal detector, we came to the entrance to the Taj Mahal (upper right picture).
Above this gate are twenty-two domes, signifying the twenty-two years that the Taj Mahal took to build.
We walked through the gate and found ourselves in front of the Taj Mahal.
