Last weekend we decided to go hiking at O'Neill
Regional Park. It's located just southeast of the Irvine Spectrum in
Mission Viejo. From the top of some of the hills, you can see the ocean to one side, and lots
and lots of brush on the other. The hike we chose was about three miles,
which should take about an hour and a half.
We weren't sure what to make of either the mountain lion or fire danger.
We think you're supposed to make yourself look large and make lots of noise
when confronted by a mountain lion. We think you're supposed to run from
fire.
